Refund policy

If you would like to return all or part of your order, please contact us within 14 days of purchase with your order number and the item(s) you want to return. Items returned to us without first contacting us will not be refunded.

Customers are responsible for return shipping. Once you have contacted us to authorize a return, ship the item(s) back to us and provide tracking via email. As soon as we have receive and inspect the return, we will issue your replacement or process your refund, minus shipping.

We are unable to accept returns or exchanges for purchases made in our stores. Similarly, our coffee shops are unable to accept returns or exchanges for purchases made on summermooncoffee.com or at any other location. Refunds, returns and exchanges must be handled at your original point of purchase.

Coffee Purchases: Every batch of our whole beans are roasted to order and checked against our roast standards before leaving our roastery. Because coffee is a perishable product, we cannot accept returns, but we’ll always make it right if something goes wrong.

Damaged or Incorrect Coffee Orders: If your coffee arrives damaged, or we send the wrong item, we’ll replace or refund your order in full. Please let us know within 14 days of purchase. A quick photo helps us speed things along. Use our Support Form to contact us.

Taste or Roast Concerns: If your first bag doesn’t hit the mark, reach out within 14 days of purchase using our Support Form. If the lot was roasted within spec, we’ll offer a one-time courtesy replacement with a different roast or store credit. If it was outside spec, we’ll gladly replace or refund your order in
full.

Equipment, Publications, and Merchandise: If you received a faulty or incorrect item, we’re truly sorry for the inconvenience. Please reach out within 14 days of purchase using our Support Form, and we’ll arrange a replacement or refund immediately.

Shipping Issues: Lost or undelivered packages? Let us know within 14 days of purchase using our Support Form, and we’ll set it right—replacement or refund, your choice.

In most cases, we are unable to authorize an exchange. In the event that you need to exchange merchandise, reach out to us to arrange for a return and place a new order for the item/size that you’d prefer. If your order has already been fulfilled and/or shipped, we are not able to cancel it. Please reach out to us to authorize a return. Once we receive your return, we will refund your order, minus shipping.
